Sunday 15th March 2009

OK, I admit it, I'm a bit of an ostrich where computers are concerned. I suppose I haven't needed to learn since Odet is an expert and is usually on hand to sort out problems for me without me having to find out how to do it for myself. Well, he's convinced me that I'd better get up to speed if I'm going to be able to keep up with the children and help teach them the computer skills they are undoubtedly going to need in the future. So here I am.
I have already discovered Powerpoint and have made a few simple presentations with the kids and I've even got round to managing my household finances on Excel, so I thought that a blog would be the next step.
We've had a lovely Sunday so far, nanna was here for lunch and this morning Odet and Libby went to David Lloyd for her tennis lesson followed by a trip to the aquarium and Tynemouth beach.

The Sax man is back!!! Daniel hadn't been interested in playing his saxophone for well over a year, but last week, Odet decided to make the downstairs computer room into a music room once more and he put the drum kit and other instruments in there. When I got back from shopping on Friday evening, I was very pleasantly surprised to hear saxophone music as I pulled up in the car, and even better, it was Daniel! He played perfectly as if he had never given it up at all! It was lovely to hear again.
Last week also saw some wonderful sporting achievements, Daniel completing 48 lengths (1200metres) in his distance swim and Libby completing 5 of the nine sections for her stage 3 badge.
